Galaxy Resources is an Australian public mining company. It is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange.

Overview

Galaxy company has projects in Australia, China, Canada and Argentina.[1] It produces lithium.[1]

It owns the Sal de Vida lithium and potash brine project in Argentina located in the "lithium triangle", where Chile, Argentina and Bolivia meet.[1] It owns the Jiangsu Lithium Carbonate Plant in Jiangsu, China.[1] It also owns the James Bay Lithium Pegmatite Project in James Bay, Quebec, Canada.

Galaxy owns the spodumene Mt Cattlin spodumene-tantalite mine near Ravensthorpe, Western Australia,[1] operated in joint venture with General Mining Corporation Limited. The mine is currently being refurbished from care-and-maintenance for an April 2016 production start-up.[2]
