Gazimağusa District

Gazimağusa District is a district of Northern Cyprus It is divided into three sub-districts: Mağusa Sub-district, Akdoğan Sub-district and Geçitkale Sub-district.^[1] Its capital is Famagusta (Turkish: Gazimağusa).

Its population was 69,838 in the 2011 census.^[2] The current Governor is Beran Bertuğ.^[3] It was separated from İskele District in 1998.
