Geissomeria longiflora is a plant native of Cerrado vegetation of Brazil. This plant is cited in Flora Brasiliensis by Carl Friedrich Philipp von Martius. In addition, this plant grows in Porto Seguro city, state of Bahia, and Viçosa city, state of Minas Gerais.
