Geratal is a Verwaltungsgemeinschaft ("collective municipality") in the district Ilm-Kreis, in Thuringia, Germany. The seat of the Verwaltungsgemeinschaft is in Geraberg.

The Verwaltungsgemeinschaft Geratal consists of the following municipalities:

  1. Angelroda
  2. Elgersburg
  3. Geraberg
  4. Martinroda
  5. Neusiß
