Global Green USA is the U.S. arm of Green Cross International, founded by President Gorbachev to "foster a global shift toward a sustainable and secure future". It is one of 30 national offices with over 70 professional staff worldwide. Global Green USA is a national environmental organization.

Global Green USA has raised more than twenty billion dollars worth of building construction[clarification needed] by encouraging the integration of green building and sustainability practices. The organization raises money through annual events with the premier being their Pre-Oscar Gala.

Programs include City Partnerships, University Education Partnerships, Pilot and Outreach, and Affordable Housing.

The U.S. Headquarters office is located in Santa Monica and that office is responsible for LEED Neighborhood Development, Bike Sharing, Los Angeles City Policy, and Eco Districting.
