Hellmut von der Chevallerie (9 November 1896 – 1 June 1965) was a highly decorated General der Infanterie in the Wehrmacht during World War II who commanded the 13. Panzer-Division. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Hellmut von der Chevallerie was captured by Allied troops in 1945 and was released in 1947.
