Hiba Kamal Abu Nada (Arabic: هبة كمال أبو ندى; 24 June 1991 – 20 October 2023) was a Palestinian poet, novelist, nutritionist[1] and wikimedian[2][circular reference]. She won the Sharjah Award for Arab Creativity (Second Place) at the 20th session in 2017.[3][4]

Biography

Abu Nada was born in Mecca, Saudi Arabia on 24 June 1991. She was educated at Islamic University, Gaza, where she was awarded a bachelor's degree of biochemistry, then master's degree in clinical nutrition from Al-Azhar University, Gaza.[5] She won the Sharjah Award for Arab Creativity (Second Place) at the 20th session for her entitled novel al-Uksujīn laysa lil-mawtā (‘Oxygen is not for the dead,’ Arabic: الأكسجين ليس للموتى) in 2017.[6][7]

On 20 October 2023, she was killed during an airstrike attack fired by Israeli Air Force on her home. She was 32.[8][9]
