Hoffman Philip (1872–1951) was an American diplomat and career foreign service officer.

From 1908 to 1910, he was consul general from the United States to Ethiopia (then Abyssinia). He served as United States Ambassador to Colombia from 1917 to 1922. He served as United States Ambassador to Uruguay from 1922 to 1925. He served as United States Ambassador to Iran from 1925 to 1928. He served as United States Ambassador to Norway from 1930 to 1935. He served as United States Ambassador to Chile from 1935 to 1937.[1]
