Hu Yanliang (simplified Chinese: 胡彦良; traditional Chinese: 胡彥良; pinyin: Hú Yànliáng; born October 10, 1990 in Beijing), also known as Karen Hu, is a Chinese beauty pageant titleholder who was Miss Universe China 1st Runner-up in 2014 session and represented her country at the Miss Universe 2014 pageant in the United States after getting new title from the original winner Nora Xu.

Personal life

Hu is a photographer from Beijing and a model. She clinched 2nd place in the NSR China Model Contest in 2011. Hu graduated from Beijing Film Academy.[1]

Pageantry

Miss China 2014

Hu represented Beijing at Miss China 2014 was placed as the 1st Runner-up. Meanwhile, Nora Xu who represented Henan was won the title of the pageant.[2] During her reign, Nora Xu was resigned in her title after following her studies at Donghua University. The organization of Miss China has been designated Karen Hu placed as the 1st Runner-up for being the new titleholder of Miss China. Automatically, Hu as the new reigning titleholder of Miss China will be competing at Miss Universe 2014 pageant.[3]

Hu is the 13th delegate from China who competed at the Miss Universe pageant.
