Huntingdale is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 17 km south-east from Melbourne's central business district. Its local government area is the City of Monash. At the 2011 Census, Huntingdale had a population of 1,784.[1]

The suburb has a railway station.

History

Huntingdale was earlier known as Oakleigh East or East Oakleigh.

The Post Office opened on 15 June 1918 as Oakleigh East and renamed Huntingdale around 1955, as was the railway station.[2]

Today

Golfers play at the course of the Huntingdale Golf Club on Windsor Avenue in the neighbouring suburb of Oakleigh South.[3]
