Amir Husin Loebis (17 April 1899 – 27 December 1983) was an Indonesian actor. He began his acting career in 1955 and starred in several feature films until 1983.[1]

Biography

Amir Husin Loebis or Husin Lubis was born on April 17 1899 in Kotanopan, Mandailing Natal, North Sumatra. Before getting involved in films, Husin was a trader, starting from trading food, goat skins, shoes, meat to selling second-hand books. He was also a sado puller and foreman. Also experienced as a theater and opera performer. Since 1950 he has been involved in the world of films as an extra. His first film is People Choose. Subsequent films include Behind the Wall (1955), Si Buta Dari Gua Hantu (1970), Nafsu Gila (1974), Syahdu (1975), Pembalasan Si Pitung (1977), Bandot Tua (1978) and others. Husin Lubis died in Medan, North Sumatra on December 27 1983 at the age of 84 due to illness. Husin Lubis was buried in Jambur Padang Matinggi village, North Panyabungan, Mandailing Natal, North Sumatra.
