"I Forgot That You Existed" is a song by American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift from her seventh studio album Lover (2019). It was written and produced by Swift, Louis Bell and Frank Dukes. It was released with the album on August 23, 2019.

Critical reception

Jason Lipshutz from Billboard ranked "I Forgot That You Existed" as the 14th best song on the album and said that "Feeling 'in my feelings more than Drake' on the album opener, Swift spends the intro track shrugging off -- and literally giggling at -- her haters." The minimal, elastic production reinforces the playful mood and allows Swift’s personality to shine through.[2]
