I suppose some kid pulled a joke when he/she praised a junior class for academic excellence for a particular academic year. Though it was a good laugh, it doesn't add any meaningful info to an oblivious reader.). School songs

‘Knowledge is power’ is our motto,
We try to raise it more and more
In all we do at work or play
And grow more loving everyday.
We are leading through the path of knowledge,
Keeping our feet on the ground with confidence;
Holding our heads high with pride
Chanting the prayer, ‘Lead Kindly Light’,
We are sincere in our efforts
To be truthful, righteous and virtuous;
We scale the heights of success and fame
And try to acquire a good name.
Character is our degree and honour
We strive for excellence in thought and work.
Pray for the blessing of heavenly light
That we may keep our faces bright.

Pledge of loyalty

This morning, I take the pledge,
That I shall be loyal to my country
That I shall dedicate myself to the service
Of our nation and our people
That I shall preserve the freedom of our sacred land
And work for its prosperity
And that I shall strive for world peace
And the brotherhood of man.

School pledge

I shall be faithful to my country and to my fellow men.
I shall respect my parents, teachers, elders, schoolmates and myself.
I shall be kind and courteous to all I meet.
I shall be responsible to my nature and to my fellow being.
I shall protect my school belongings and safeguard the goodwill of our school.
I shall strive hard to be the best I can be,so that all can succeed in our school family.
