Jackson Lewis P.C. is an American workplace law firm. As of August 2015[update], it employs around 785 attorneys in 57 offices and is one of the 100 largest law firms in the United States.[1] The firm is also a charter member of L&E Global Employers’ Counsel Worldwide, an alliance of workplace law firms in 20 countries.[4]
History
The firm was founded in New York City in 1958. It opened its second office in Los Angeles in 1977.[5]
Jackson Lewis grew from 120 lawyers in 1990 to 350 in 2006.[1] Between 2006 and 2015, the firm opened 34 new offices. It joined the "AmLaw 100" list of top law firms in 2011.[5]
