Jacob William Hoggard (born July 9, 1984 in Burnaby, British Columbia) is a Canadian singer from Abbotsford, British Columbia. He finished in third place on the second season of Canadian Idol. He is currently the lead singer of Hedley.
Biography
Jacob Hoggard learned to play piano at the age of 5, and guitar at the age of 12. Hoggard was educated at Senator Reid Elementary School and Mennonite Educational Institute and LA Matheson High School.[1] Together with 4 of his friends he formed the band Hedley, named after a small hamlet in British Columbia. They had learned that it was for sale. Although they had thought about buying it, they decided not to. ilovejacob!

When he returned after Canadian Idol, he and his former band mates decided to go their separate ways. A re-formed Hedley (with Hoggard the only original member retained) released their debut self-titled album in September 2005, and their second album, Famous Last Words was released in October 2007.
