James E. "Jay" Bond was the 16th head football coach for the University of Kansas Jayhawks located in Lawrence, Kansas. He held that position for the 1918 season which was shortened due to an outbreak of influenza on campus.[2] His overall coaching record at Kansas was 2 wins, 2 losses, and 0 ties. This ranks him 34th at Kansas in total wins and 18th by winning percentage.[3]
