Jenna Mourey, (born September 15, 1986) more commonly known as Jenna Marbles, is an American YouTube personality.

Life and career

Born in Rochester, New York, Mourey's mother teaches social media. [1] Mourey attended Brighton High School in Rochester.[2][3] She then moved to Boston, Massachusetts to attend college at Suffolk University, obtaining a B.S. in Psychology.[4] She then attended Boston University and obtained her Master's in Sport psychology and Counseling.[5] Jenna is well known for her YouTube videos. She currently resides in Santa Monica, California.

Jenna Marbles came to prominence as a blogger for stoollala.com, a now-defunct sister site of barstoolsports.com. Through social media networks, Marbles gained fame with her video "How To Trick People Into Thinking You're Good Looking", which had over 5.3 million views in its first week (38,187,697 views as of March 22, 2012).[6] The video was well-received by women. Her video "How To Avoid Talking To People You Don't Want To Talk To" was featured in an August article in the New York Times[4] and ABC News,[7] in which she was quoted as saying, "I'm sick and tired of guys thinking that just because I showed up at a club or a dance or a bar, that I want to have their balls touching my butt." The video has over 20,127,513 views as of March 11, 2012.[8]

"Landshark" is an original song, dance move, and video.[9] In order to "landshark," a person must put their flattened hand against their back so that the hand mimicks a shark fin.

As of March 2012, Jenna Marbles's channel has over 2.6 million subscribers.[10]
