Jhok Mehar Shah is a great village in Union council Punjgirain Tehseel Darya Khan District Bhakkar Punjab Pakistan. It is named against syed Mehar Shah who were three brothers named Laal Shah, Qala nder and Mehar Shah. There is village on[clarification needed] each brother name called Jhok Mehar Shah, Jhok Qalander Shah and Jhok Laal Shah. It is located on east bank of Indus River and 4 km from Punjgirain in west. It has the population approximately 1000. There is a Great Mosque Jafria and Imam Bargah Qaser e Abbas a.s and Jhangi Hazrat Abbas a.s. A govt. Primary School for boys is also here. Main cast here are kumhar, Syed, Noon, Jhunj, Gorai, Babhan, Machi, Dirkhan, Muhana. People of Jhok Mehar Shah are charming, beautiful, religious, hardworker and great. Main profession is former. Other are military job and cival and govt jobs and labour.
