John Davies (bishop of St Asaph)

John Stewart Davies[1] (born 28 February 1943) was Bishop of St Asaph from 1999 until 2008.

Davies he was educated at St. John's School, Leatherhead and Queens' College, Cambridge and ordained in 1974. After an earlier career in Journalism he began his service in the Church in Wales at Hawarden.[2] He was then held incumbencies at Rhosymedre and Mold,[3] latterly as Archdeacon of St Asaph.[4]
