John Barnett Rambo (born 9 August 1943) is a retired American high jumper who won a bronze medal at the 1964 Olympics.[1]
While studying at Long Beach State, Rambo won the 1964 NCAA title and later the AAU indoor title in 1967 and 1969. After graduating he tied for the fourth place at the 1968 Olympic trials and was left out of the U.S. Olympic team. In 1965, Rambo was drafted in the sixth round by the St. Louis Hawks of the NBA, but never played professional basketball.[1]
