Jonathan Auxier is a Canadian-American writer of young adult literature, who won the TD Canadian Children's Literature Award[1] and the Canadian Library Association Book of the Year for Children Award[2] for his 2014 novel The Night Gardener. The book was also a shortlisted finalist for the Governor General's Award for English-language children's literature at the 2014 Governor General's Awards.[3]

Originally from Vancouver, British Columbia,[4] he currently lives in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.[1]

He has also published the books Peter Nimble and his Fantastic Eyes (2011) and Sophie Quire and the Last StoryGuard (2016).[5]
