Kiran Choudhry (born 5 June 1955) is an Indian National Congress politician. She is a MLA from Tosham Vidhan Sabha constituency and leader of the Congress legislative Party in the Haryana Vidhan Sabha.

A multi-crore fake plantation Haryana Forestry scam case allegedly involving Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Kiran Chaudhary and others for the Embezzlement of government money, which exposed by the whistleblower, Sanjiv Chaturvedi,[2]Ramon Magsaysay Award-winner[3] is currently in Supreme Court of India after an inquiry committee of the MoEF found the allegations against Haryana government true, and CVC preferred a CBI into dubious role of politicians and civil servants.[2][4]

Early life

Kiran Choudhry was born in New Delhi on 5 June 1955. Her father was a war veteran Brigadier Atma Singh from Kumaon Regiment of Indian Army. She was elected Deputy Speaker of the House unopposed. She held the post until the end of the term of the Assembly in 2003.But two years later she was struck by the tragic death of her husband, the late Surender Singh, in a helicopter crash. The late Minister’s constituents in Tosham, near Bhiwani, demanded that someone from the illustrious family should take over the reins of the constituency in the wake of loss of the 59-year-old son of the former Chief Minister.[5][6]congress
