Kumagane Station (熊ヶ根駅, Kumagane-eki) is a railway station in the city of Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture, Japan, operated by East Japan Railway Company (JR East).

Lines

Kumagane Station is served by the Senzan Line, and is located 23.7 rail kilometers from the terminus of the line at Sendai Station.

History

Kumagane Station opened on August 30, 1931. A new station building was completed in August 1983. The station was absorbed into the JR East network upon the privatization of JNR on 1 April 1987.
