Labra (Georgian: ლაბრა; Template:Lang-ab) is a village located south of Sukhumi, Abkhazia,[1] Georgia in the Ochamchira district and populated predominantly by ethnic Armenians who founded the village in 1890 after emigration from Ordu.[2]

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia, Labra was destroyed during the War in Abkhazia (1992–1993).[3]

Having unilaterally declared independence from Georgia in 1992, Abkhazia is formally recognised as an independent state by 5 UN member states (two other states previously recognised it but then withdrew their recognition), while the remainder of the international community recognizes it as de jure Georgian territory. Georgia continues to claim the area as its own territory, designating it as Russian-occupied territory.
