Laspur is an administrative unit, known as Union Council, of Chitral District in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan.

Chitral is the largest district in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan, covering an area of 14,850 km². It is the northernmost district of Pakistan.[1] The district of Chitral is divided into two tehsils and 24 Union Councils and among those, Laspur Valley tends to show its identity with its natural environment, traditions and mostly for they people for their bravery being part of war and freedom fight, their truthfulness and hospitality.[citation needed]

From a geographic point of view it is occupied from Kona to Sore-Laspur it includes 8 villages (gasht, shahi-dass, raman, herchin, brok, phort, balim and sore-laspur) according to the latest census the total population of Laspur valley is 30,000. Two types of communities are living in Laspur valley "Sunnis" and "ismailis" the language spoken is Khowar, the literacy rate of Laspur valley is almost 60% and for better education system different govt and non govt institutes are present which offer education to the residential students up to FSc level, for health a BHU and Aga Khan health centre are present. Laspur valley has almost unique traditions like dancing, folk music, traditional dressing, traditional dishes and it is almost unique. The people are almost 70% employees and for the rest of them livestock and forestation is the source of income, the Kabul river takes start from Laspur valley flowing through laspur valley with a wealth of trout. The people of laspur are attractive toward sport and the most special game to them is polo.

Tourists are attracted toward laspur valley for its natural environment, guest houses, hotels and camping sites, and almost every year thousands of visitors visit Laspur Valley.[citation needed] Shandur lake and Shandur serve as grazing land for laspur Valley.
