Linda Thomas-Greenfield (born 1952, in Baker, Louisiana) is an American diplomat who served as the Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs in the United States Department of State's Bureau of African Affairs from 2013 to 2017.[2][3] She is currently Senior Counselor at Albright Stonebridge Group in Washington, DC.[4]

She has also served as Director General of the Foreign Service and Director of Human Resources (2012–2013), Ambassador to Liberia (2008–2012), and Deputy Assistant Secretary, Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration (2004–2006).[2][5][6]
