This is a list of U.S. states by homicide rate according to FBI Uniform Crime Reports.[1][2]

Homicide rate by state

Note: The rate columns can be sorted in ascending or descending order. Click the arrows in the second row to do so. The row number column on the left sorts separately. This way the states can be ranked in order by homicide rate. Sort the state column to return to alphabetical order.

Rates are calculated per 100,000 population.
