List of WordGirl episodes

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is an old revision of this page, as edited by Discospinster (talk | contribs) at 02:27, 13 June 2018 (Reverted edits by 2602:306:CEBF:49A0:B0B2:E44E:E338:181E (talk) to last version by 174.131.56.229). The present address (URL) is a permanent link to this revision, which may differ significantly from the current revision.

WordGirl episodes are divided up into eleven-minute segments. Unlike the first three episodes, each begin with verbal instructions to listen for two words that will be used throughout the plot of that episode. The words (examples include "diversion", "cumbersome," and "idolize") are chosen according to academic guidelines. The reasoning is that children can understand words like "cumbersome" when WordGirl said that it means "big and heavy and awkward."
