690 Mr. and Mrs. Vassilyev[1][2] Vassilyev and his first wife, whose name is unknown, holds the record for most children a couple has parented. She gave birth to a total of 69 children. She gave birth to 16 pairs of twins, 7 sets of triplets and 4 sets of quadruplets between 1725 and 1765, in a total of 27 births. 67 of the 69 children born are said to have survived infancy.
39 Elizabeth and William Greenhill[3] Thomas Greenhill was the last child of 39 by his mother Elizabeth and William Greenhill. The family consisted of 7 sons and 32 daughters. Not only is this a large number of live newborns but unusual in that apart from one pair of twins they were single births.
21 Arthur and Olivia (Whitmore) Guinness[4] Guinness was an Irish brewer. Only 10 of their children lived to adulthood.
21 Henry and Anna Crocker[citation needed] 18 of their children lived to adulthood.
20 Roland and Rose Alma Letendre[5] The youngest died as a result of birth injury. All the children were born in Drummondville, Quebec/Canada. The combined age of the mother (94) and 19 children (72 – 50) adds up to 1256 years as of August 25, 2012.
