"Little Talks"
Song

"Little Talks" is the debut single by the Icelandic indie folk/indie pop band Of Monsters and Men. The song was released as the lead single from their debut studio album, My Head Is an Animal (2012). It was also released on the band's EP, Into the Woods. It was written by Arnar Rósenkranz Hilmarsson, Brynjar Leifsson, Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir, Ragnar Þórhallsson and produced by Of Monsters And Men, Aron Þór Arnarsson.

International success

In August 2011, Philadelphia's Radio 104.5 began playing "Little Talks" and propelled the band to nationwide popularity in the United States.[1]

On 16 August 2012, "Little Talks" reached the number one spot on the Irish Singles Chart. It remained at the number one spot the following week.

Music video

The music video was released to the public via YouTube on February 2, 2012. The video was directed by Mihai Wilson and Marcella Moser. The video follows five trekkers played by the male members of the band, venturing across a fantasy land, continuously running into nightmare-ish creatures. But, with the aid of a supernatural force in the form of a woman played by Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir, they survive it all. The music video was nominated in the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards for Best Art Direction in a Video. It lost out to Katy Perry's single Wide Awake.
