Luigi Arcangeli (Forlì, Italy, 1894 - Monza, Italy, 1931) was an Italian motorcycle racer, factory rider for Sarolea, Sunbeam ( Isleof ManTT ) , Bianchi and Moto Guzzi, he turned following his friend Tazio Nuvolari to four wheels and became race car driver, his first notable appearance was a win in 1928 at the Circuito di Senigallia with a 2 litre Bugatti. After Bugatti he drove Talbot-Darracqs, winning at Cremona in 1928 . After the good results continued with Maserati Tipo 8C-2500,[1] first place at Real de Roma Grand Prix in 1930, he moved to Alfa Romeo and joined Enzo Ferrari's scuderia with Nuvolari as team mate. Arcangeli was killed in Monza while driving Alfa Romeo Tipo A. Enzo Ferrari was speechless about the drama and the loss of his rider, "a perfect team mate with a big sense of life humanity, always ready to share his bread and wine with his friends". Nicknamed Gigione, El leon d'Rumagna, he was always dressed in white and was always immaculate and surrounded by beautiful women... Scuderia Luigi Arcangeli was created to honor Luigi Arcangeli name and bravoury by the Arcangeli family. The Scuderia is active nowadays building limited ArcangeliMoto regolarita race bikes, the Scuderia was awarded 2011 Belgian and Polish national champion and finished third at European Enduro junior 50cc category. Based in Italy, in the Marche region, it still trust many wins in National french 50cc leagues .[2]
