He toured extensively with the band, performing lead vocals on songs such as Persephone and Phoenix, before leaving in 2001.[1]

Post-Wishbone Ash

In 2001, Birch left Wishbone Ash to follow a career in web design.[1] he has 3 children named Alex, Harriet and William and a wife, Vikki Hutchinson. He now works at home and works in estate, buying and selling properties. He plays at pubs on “jazz nites” and also plays the drums.
