The Mercedes-Benz M113 (and similar M155) engine is a gasoline-fueled, 4-stroke, spark-ignition internal-combustion V8 automobile piston engine family used in the 2000s (decade). It is based on the similar M112 V6 introduced in 1998.

The standard Mercedes-Benz M113s are built in Untertürkheim, Germany, while the AMG versions are assembled at AMG's Affalterbach, Germany plant. M113s have aluminum engine blocks and aluminum SOHC cylinder heads with two spark plugs per cylinder. The cylinders are lined with silicon/aluminum, and the heads have 3 valves per cylinder. Other features include SFI fuel injection, fracture-split forged steel connecting rods, a one-piece cast camshaft, and a magnesium intake manifold.

M113 E43

The M113 E43 is a 4.3 L (4266 cc) version. Bore is 89.9 mm and stroke is 84 mm. Output is 279 PS (205 kW) at 5750 rpm with 295 ft·lbf (400 Nm) of torque at 3000-4400 rpm. Output for the variant used in the C43 AMG is uprated to 302 bhp (225 kW) and 302 ft⋅lbf (409 N⋅m).

Applications:

M113 E50

The M113 E50 is a 5.0 L (4966 cc) version bored to 97 mm and stroke is 84 mm. Output is 306 PS (225 kW) at 5600 rpm with 339 ft·lbf (460 Nm) of torque at 2700 to 4250 rpm. Active Cylinder Control variable displacement technology is optional.

Applications:

M113 5.4L

The M113 5.4L is a 5.4 L (5439 cc) version with the same 97 mm bore as the M113 E50 but with a longer 92 mm stroke. Output is 347 PS (255 kW) to 367 PS (270 kW) at 5500 rpm with 376 ft⋅lbf (510 N⋅m) to 391 ft·lbf (530 Nm) of torque at 2800-5400 rpm.

Applications:

M113 5.4L supercharger

The M113 5.4L supercharged is a supercharged and twin-intercooled version of the 5.4 L (5439 cc) M113 5.4. It is commonly referred to as "M113K" - where 'K' stands for Kompressor (supercharger). Output varies depending on year and model, from 469 hp for the E55 AMG at 6100 rpm to 574 hp in the 2004-2006 CLK DTM AMG, with 516 ft·lb(700 Nm) to 531 ft·lb(720 Nm) of torque at 2750-4000 rpm. Applications:

M155 SLR

The M155 SLR is special version of the supercharged 5.4 L (5439 cc) M155 for the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren. Output is 616 hp (460 kW) at 6500 rpm with 575 ft·lbf (780 N·m) of torque at 3250 rpm. An uprated version with 650 hp (478 kW) at 6500 rpm and 605 ft·lbf (820 N·m) of torque at 4000 rpm is featured in the 722 edition.
