Dr. Michael D. Watkins is a Canadian author and leading expert on accelerating transitions. Most notably, his works include the international best seller The First 90 Days: Critical Success Strategies for New Leaders at all Levels and Your Next Move: The Leader's Guide to Successfully Navigating Major Career Transitions.[1] Dr. Watkins had been a professor at The Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, the Harvard Business School, and INSEAD in France.[2] He is Professor of Leadership and Organizational Change at International Institute for Management Development in Switzerland.[3] He has contributed multiple articles to the Harvard Business Review.[4]

Dr. Watkins is co-founder and chairman of Genesis Advisers,[5] an executive onboarding and transition acceleration company he founded,[6] located in Newton, Massachusetts.
