Motijheel (Bengali: মতিঝিল) is a Thana of Dhaka District in the Division of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Geography
Motijheel is located at 23°44′00″N 90°25′05″E / 23.7333°N 90.4181°E . It has 36059 units of house hold and total area 4.69 km².
Demographics
As of 1991[update] Bangladesh census, Motijheel has a population of 223676. Males constitute 59.45% of the population, and females 40.55%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 143497. Motijheel has an average literacy rate of 70.9% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate.[1]
