Mulalanka is a small village in the Kalidindi Mandal of Krishna District in Andhra Pradesh, India. Its name used to be Mulaupparagudam. It comes under the Kaikaluru assembly constituency and Eluru Parliamentary constituency. The village is located 400 km from Hyderabad, 90 km from Vijayawada, 39 km from Bhimavaram and 25 km from Kaikaluru. The main occupation of people in this village is farming (Paddy, Aqua). There are three canals supplying water for farm lands.
History, Culture and Sports
Agriculture is the main occupation in Mulalanka. Irrigation is based on monsoons and canals. People follow traditional and advanced techniques in irrigation. Majority of the youth is moving away from agriculture in search of better life and opportunities. Business establishments in Mulalanka are mainly to serve the agriculture in and around Mulalanka.

Majority of the people in Mulalanka follow Hinduism. Christianity and Islam are on the rise. Major festivals followed are peddintalamma jartara and tirunalu Sankranthi, Dussera and Diwali. Subramanyeswara Swamy Sashti, Rajarajeswari Devi Dussehra, Sri Venkateswara kalyanam, Sri Krishnashtami, Mukkoti and vinayakachavati.
As in rest of India, cricket is the most watched and played game in the village. People play Cricket in the board School ground. Volleyball and Kabaddi are also played often.

Mulalanka has bus connectivity to Vijayawada, Gudiwada, Bhimavaram and bandhar. The nearest railway station is in Kaikaluru, and the nearest airport is in Vijayawada. Nearby villages include Avakuru, Kalidindi, Bhaskarraopeta, Elurupadu, Mudinepalle, Bantumilli and Singarayapalem.
Climate
The climate is tropical, with hot summers and moderate winters. The average warmest month is May. On average, the coolest month is January. The maximum average precipitation occurs in August. The peak temperature reaches 37 °C (99 °F) in May–June, while the winter temperature is 19-28 C. The average humidity is 78% and the average annual rainfall is 103 cm. Mulalanka gets its rainfall from both the south-west monsoon and north-east monsoon.
