Template:Infobox Commonwealth Games New Zealand New Zealand (abbreviated NZL) sent a team of 56 competitors and 9 officials to the 1954 British Empire and Commonwealth Games, which were held at Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The flagbearer at the opening ceremony was Max Carr.

New Zealand has competed in every games, starting with the first British Empire Games in 1930 at Hamilton, Ontario. Selection is the responsibility of the New Zealand Olympic Committee.
