The Northern South American cougar (Puma concolor concolor) is a subspecies of the cougar. It is native to northern South America, living from Colombia and Venezuela to Peru and northern Brazil.
It is the nominate subspecies of Puma concolor.
- Prey
It preys on birds, deer, sloths, mice, frogs, agoutis, and lizards, as a result of coexisting with larger jaguars.[1]
They rarely prey on domesticated animals.[2]
