Obama Station (小浜駅, Obama-eki) is a railway station located in Obama, Fukui, Japan, operated by West Japan Railway Company (JR West).[1]

Lines

Obama Station is served by the Obama Line linking Tsuruga in Tsuruga, Fukui with Higashi-Maizuru in Maizuru, Kyoto.

One side platform and one island platform serving three tracks in total.

History

  • 10 November 1918: Station opens.
  • 15 November 1982: Freight services are discontinued.
  • 15 March 2003: The Obama Line is electrified.
