Odsonne Édouard (born 16 January 1998), is a French professional footballer who plays for Toulouse, on loan from Paris Saint-Germain. Internationally, he represents the France national under-18 team.

Club career

Paris Saint-Germain

Édouard joined the club's youth academy in 2011.[1][2] On 27 April 2016, he signed a professional contract with Paris Saint-Germain's Ligue 1 side, after playing for their reserve team during the 2015–2016 campaign.[1][2] He made his professional debut with PSG's first-team squad as an unused substitute at the 2016 International Champions Cup.[3] Six days after being an unused substitute, he came on in the 79th minute against Leicester, scoring a goal in his official debut.[4] He sealed PSG's victory by making it 4–0 in the closing minutes of their last International Champions Cup game.[5] Paris Saint-Germain's American and European championship resulted from this win over Leicester.[6]

Toulouse (loan)

On 8 August 2016, Édouard joined Toulouse on a season-long loan.[7][8][9][10] He made his debut for Toulouse on 14 August 2016 against Marseille replacing Issiaga Sylla after 74 minutes in a 0–0 away draw.[11] Édouard scored his first professional goal on 19 November against Metz, scoring a consolation goal late in added time in a 2–1 home loss.[12]

International career

At the 2015 UEFA European Under-17 Championship, Édouard was crowned as the Golden Player and the top goalscorer[13][14][15] after scoring the game-winning goal in the final against Germany.[16]
