Omid Iranian Foundation (Persian: بنیاد امید ایرانیان) is an Iranian not-for-profit non-governmental organization headed by Mohammad Reza Aref.[1] Established in 2009, it is officially a research institute focusing on political and social sciences, however some analysts believe it is strategically functioning as a "reformist political party" as it has branches nationwide.[1] Aref himself has stressed that the organization's goal is different from a political party, but it is likely that it becomes politically active after 2017, but he rathers it remain a think tank for executive officials.[2][3]
