This is the discography for American synthpop/alternative dance artist Owl City.
In 2007, Owl City released an extended play entitled Of June on September 8 of that year. Although no single was ever released from it, the EP managed to chart on the U.S. Billboard Top Electronic Albums (now Dance/Electronic Albums). At this time, Adam Young was unsigned and the EP was self-released.
Young's debut studio album, Maybe I'm Dreaming, was released on March 17, 2008. It, too, was self-released and proved more success than Of June. The album reached #13 on the Top Electronic Albums. At the time, no single was ever released to radio.
In 2009, Owl City found success on the charts. The lead-off single for his second album, "Fireflies", became a Number One single on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. While the single was climbing the charts, the album, Ocean Eyes, was released on July 14, 2009, where it debuted and peaked at #8 on the Billboard 200. It also peaked at #1 on the Dance/Electronic Albums and on the Top Rock Albums, both of which are issued from Billboard magazine. The week that "Fireflies" reached #1, the album's second single, "Vanilla Twilight", debuted at #95 on the Hot 100.
