Paola Paternoster (née Carotenuto on 22 December 1935) is a retired Italian athlete. She competed in the discus throw at the 1956 and 1960 Summer Olympics and in the javelin throw in 1956, and placed 11th–20th.[1] Paternoster held national titles in the high jump (1955), discus throw (1955–1957), javelin throw (1956–1957, 1959–1961) and pentathlon (1954–1956).[3]
