The Ministry of Justice is the government department responsible for overseeing the Crown Dependencies with the Secretary of State for Justice (Lord Chancellor) being the Privy councilor responsible for the Dependencies.[2] However the day to day duties are handled by the Under-Secretary of State for Justice, who is a less senior minister in the Ministry of Justice.[3]
