Paul Glover

Paul Glover (born July 18, 1947) is a community organizer currently based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Community work

He is the founder of the Ithaca Hours, one of the first local currency systems.[1][2] He is also the founder of the Philadelphia Orchard Project,[3] Citizen Planners of Los Angeles,[4] the Ithaca Health Alliance,[5] and several other organizations. He is author of several books[6] and a former professor of urban studies at Temple University.[7]

He consults and speaks on community economic development.[8]

Travels

He walked across the United States, entirely on foot, in 1978.[9]

Political career

Glover was the Green Party candidate for mayor of Ithaca,_New_York in 2003.http://www.paulglover.org/mayor [9]

Glover was invited by the Green Party of the United States to participate in its presidential primaries in 2004.[10]

Glover was the Green Party of Pennsylvania's candidate for governor in 2014.[11]
