Pennsylvania Route 946 (PA 946) is a rural Pennsylvania highway that runs approximately 18 miles (29 km) from Berlinsville to Newburg in Northampton County.
Route description
PA 946 traverses mildly hilly country from its western terminus at PA 248 to its traffic-lighted junction with PA 512 in Moorestown. From PA 512, it is mostly flat to its eastern terminus at PA 191 just south of Nazareth.
It is an alternate to PA 248 and PA 329 for motorists going from upper Lehigh County to the Nazareth area as those routes have many traffic lights and both wind through the borough of Bath. Since PA 946 traverses open terrain, there are fewer major junctions.
Major intersections
The entire route is in Northampton County.
