"Personality" is a 1959 R&B, pop hit with music and lyrics by Harold Logan and Lloyd Price. It was released as a single by Price.[1] The single reached #2 for three weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 and became one of Lloyd Price's most popular crossover hits. The song was also a #1 U.S. R&B hit, maintaining the top spot for four weeks.[2] Billboard ranked it as the No. 3 song for 1959.[3] The song reached #9 in the U.K..[4]

A version by Anthony Newley reached #6 in the United Kingdom in June 1959. [5]

As "Personalità", performed by Caterina Valente, it was a major Italian hit in 1960.

In 1967, Mitch Ryder got to #87 with a live medley of this song and "Chantilly Lace".

In 1961, both Pat Boone and the Four Lads recorded the song. In 1962, Patti Page did it.

Jerry Lee Lewis released a country and western version on his 1979 album, Jerry Lee Lewis.[6] The song was covered by Annie Ross and the Renzettes in Basket Case 3: The Progeny. The Kidsongs covered this song on their Let's Put on a Show video and DVD. Others who recorded the song are Mel Carter in 1970, Bill Haley & The Comets in 1973, The Platters in 1974, Tony Orlando and Dawn and Gary Glitter in 1975. Percy Sledge in 1983, Wayne Newton in 1989, and Ronnie Milsap in 2014.

A version of the song is heard in a 2010 TV commercial for NFLShop.com. the NFL's online retailer and also appears on the soundtrack of 2011 film The Help.[7]
