Peter Rowsthorn (Snr) is an Australian businessman. He is the former chairman of Toll Holdings,[1] Australia's largest transport company, and he along with Paul Little bought the company in 1986.[2] He is now the owner of Wadham Park/Woodside, a horse training facility and a stud farm respectively.

His elder son Mark was chairman of Toll NZ and an Executive Director of Toll Holdings and as of 2008 is CEO Asciano Limited, and his younger son Peter is an actor and comedian. He also has two daughters: Sue, who resides in Newlands Arm on the Gippsland Lakes, and Jennifer, who lives in central Melbourne.
