Petra Maganai Vitra Annai (lit.'The mother who sold her son') is 1958 Tamil film directed by V. Ramanathan and Produced by Modern Theatres. The film script was written by A. P. Nagarajan and A. V. P. Asai Thambi. The film's soundtrack was composed by Viswanathan-Ramamoorthy. The film stars S. S. Rajendran, R. S. Manohar, A. Karunanidhi and E. R. Sahadevan in lead roles with C. R. Vijayakumari, Pandari Bai, T. P. Muthulakshmi portraying supporting role.[1][2]

The Song Thendral Urangiya Pothum Thingal Urangiya Pothum (Voice by A. M. Rajah & P. Suseela) was well received by the audience.[4] The song "Kaalamenum Kaattaaru" was taken from the stage play Kaviyin Kanavu authored by S. D. Sundaram.[5]
