Elections to Plymouth City Council took place on 3 May 2012,[1] the same day as other United Kingdom local elections, 2012. One third of the council was up for election and the Labour Party gained control of the council from the Conservative party.
After the election, the composition of the council was as follows:
- Labour Party 31 (+6)
- Conservative 26 (-5)
- UKIP 0 (-1)
